Station History

    The station is located just south of Provo.  For close to a decade, Moenkopi struck a deal with Millcreek to simulcast KUUU on the KTCE, because of KUUU's poor signal in Utah County.  At the time, KUUU used to broadcast on 92.1 FM and KTCE on 92.3 FM.  However, in 2005 KUUU moved to Farnsworth Peak on 92.5 FM, which gave them a reasonable signal in Utah County.  It's not clear if Moenkopi or Millcreek terminated the deal, or if the agreement was simply not renewed. However it seems reasonable for Millcreek not to continue the simulcast on KTCE because of KUUU's new and improved signal.

   Currently 92.1 is branded "The Edge," running a satellite Hot AC format from Jones Radio.  Some have speculated that KTCE may run a home-grown Hot AC format in a few years, once it's built up some advertisers, although that has yet to be seen.  Either way, that would likely still be several years away.
